I have a huge pimple next to my nose, and it wont go away! How can i get rid of it? please?

I try bascially anything! Toothpaste, hydrogen poroxide, nutmeg and milk! Everything.

I am only 13 and i need to get rid of this pimple kinda soon, nothing ever works. I use clearasil but it only gets rid of white heads.

Some people tell me to put a hot tea bag on it, but i need to hear from some more people.

Does anybody have anything that works like magic or quicky. Please write!

The more you mess with it the longer it takes to go away.

Try acne cream from the drugstore and that should help it clear up faster. If you don't have access to that, try rubbing alcohol.

when i had pimples when i was about 13-14 years old, i used Witch Hazel, get a paper towel, fold it in half twice, then get the entire towel w/ witch hazel (dont pour it on, kinda put the towel over the mouth of the bottle, then tip the bottle so you have a small wet circle of witch hazel, then do it again and again so you have most of the towel SLIGHTLY WET, but NOT soaked)

anyway, do this in the morning, witch hazel, then wash your face, then lotion on your face, then do the same thing right before bed, i did it like this, and its not instant, but i was noticiing the pimples getting smaller w/in about a week or two

EDIT: this doesnt help you with your need for an instant fix, lol, but AFTER (and if) you find and instant fix, try what i said, it will at the very least help keep your pimple problem down

and sorry to bring the harsh truth, but lol your a teenager, your going to get pimples

use a LOT of neutrogena acne cream trust me it works miracles

like right before you go to bed, put a glob of it on your nose(well, not TOO big), right on the pimple

and it will be gone in a couple of days

Don't use toothpaste, it dries your skin out

Hope this helped!!

p.s. Whatever you do, do not (!!!) try to squeeze it or even touch it or it will get worse

I always put Vick's Menthol Vapo rub when I get pimples, and within three days they're ready to pop. (ew.) haha but you have to apply it constantly. like I put some on every hour & before I go to bed. then like the next day it's ready to explodeee.

First of all, I heard toothpaste was bad because it made your skin dry. Just leave it alone, don't pick at it or it will get worse. I use this stuff from Boscia, it's a skin care kit, and helps clear up your skin. Try that. It is kind of expensive though...

Try not to pick your pimple or else it will take longer to heal about it. Try a product that is from your local drugstore.

the tea bag thing works really well, but chamomile works best.

Grease.....

pop it or put make-up on it.

How can i get rid of a pimple - Quick smart!!?

I have a small infected pimple on my chin that seems to be taking forever to heal! I need to try and clear it up by Saturday. Does anyone have any tips or anything to help speed up the healing process ?

Or any tips on getting rid of a pimple quick smart!!

any over the counter medication with salicytic acid in it is going to work fast- this ingredient is ASPIRIN! i don't know why it works- but i learned this lesson the hard way... tried all of the benzoyl peroxide products and all they did was make my skin peel all around the acne

the aspirin in the other products cleans out the infection causing the pimple, rather than trying to just wash it out like the benzoyl peroxide products.

i am allergic to aspirin and can still use them...

also i use St Ives medicated apricot face scrub daily in the shower to keep my face acne free now-- works wonders!

good luck

susan

say abra ca da bra and break the mirror

Caustic soda

use a product with benzoil peroxide. Otherwise, you'll have to make do with a concealer :) Hey, don't sweat over the small stuff...if people are going to judge you based on that pimple you have, then you deserve better :)

All the best though!

Toothpaste.

pop it and then ice it. that should make it really small then use some of the cover up stuff. lol i had really bad pimples.

pop it. send it to hell. to work for the devil.

rub a tampon all over it thenn clean it with douche. then call me 2506994356 and i will take the pimples off your a.s.s cheeks

If it's majorly infected, pop it, ice it, and put on neosporin... seriously, its the best thing for that kind of pimple. Just don't spread it too thick over the rest of your chin, or you could end up cloging the rest of your pores.

HYDROCORTISONE...you know the stuff you put on things to stop the itch? Just put it on the area infected and it reduced swelling and redness, just overnight!

teatree oil or sudocreme

How do you maintain a beautiful, flawless, pimple-free back?

I am having a very bad skin on my upper back lately. There are pimples also and it seems like it's getting worse. My back wasn't like this before. Do you have any beauty tips to have a beautiful, flawless and pimple-free back? Thanks for your tips and pieces of advice in advance.

Hi Toni, Haven't seen you around in a while. Sorry to hear you are having trouble of this kind. There are about a million different products that you can buy specifically for this kind of problem. Some will work and some won't. The problem is that no one knows for sure exactly what your problem really is and what is causing it. A lot of the answers that you have already received suggest that you are suffering from acne.

While your problem may not be acne, it is worth your while to review what acne actually is and what causes it and how to treat it, because topical ointments and other treatments may eventually solve the problem but they don't address the underlyng issues. Here is a link I think you should check out before you do anything else.

Link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acne_vulgaris

This article in Wikipedia will detail what the causes and the results of acne are and suggest what to do as a follow-up if these treatments don't work.

Basically what it boils down to is hygiene. You have developed areas on your back where the pores are clogged with a substance called sebum which amounts to skin oil along with a clot of dead skin cells.

The best treatment for this is to get yourself a good back-scrubber - one that is referred to as an exfoliant brush or scrubber. Use this with a good brand name anti-bacterial soap on your back only - not on your face or other tender parts of your body. Over a period of time you should see some results from this treatment, but if you don't see some improvement over a period of two to three weeks, then you should probably best go to see a dermatologist for some expert advice.

As I said at the beginning, there are tones of topical ointments, creams, clensers, etc that claim to be the magic cure-all, but before you start investing a lot of money in magic cure-alls, try just investing some time, effort and a little common sense in treating this condition and I think you will find that it will go away on its on.

Of course, you should not cease the treatment once the condition is cleared up. One of the areas that is hardest to take care of is our back, and so investing in some tools and some basic clensers for your back seems to me to be the wisest choice.

I wish you the best of luck and I wish you a Very Merry Christmas and the Happiest of New Years. Good luck and best wishes, Papadoc

Most acne that occurs from your chin and downward is mostly due to an imbalance of hormones and poor diet. Most topical creams and cleansers will not work. Acne starts from within so you have to treat from the inside. Drink *lots* of water (with fresh lemon wedges...helps cleanse the liver) do not eat a lot of refine sugars and dairy...if you like your dairy...switch to organic...no hormones added in the dairy...which regular dairy has a lot of estrogen [same with chicken] ) So look for more into the organic foods....all those additives, pesticides and chemicals that you ingest does havoc on your skin. And when you cleanse your skin...use a mild soap...not any of those harsh acne fighting soaps...you are just irritating the skin with all of those chemicals as well. Sensitive skin needs a mild cleanser. Also make sure your bed sheets and pillow cases are changed on a regular basis as well.

And in the shower just make sure to clean it up really good. Use a long exfoliating brush to help you with that. You can use a mild soap from clinique. I think they call it "acne soap." Its actually a really good soap so you can use it on the face too. just make sure you dont use the same one on the face and back, unless your not rubbing the soap directly on your back, then its fine. Also, be careful of letting your shampoo and conditioner get onto your back because you'll have to rinse that off really well too.

You wont see an overnight change in this so keep up with this routine & you ll see a difference on your back for sure. The soap by clinique costs around 13-15 $$. Worth the price!

sorry i don't know what to tell you, i have a naturally beautiful back

go see a dermo :D

I have same problem

I use this:

go to the dermatologist and have them prescribe you for anti-biotic pills. they work from the inside out, so your acne will clear up all over. you can also use regular acne cream on your back. hope it gets better!

Here is a cheap and effective cure. Use rubbing alcohol. put it on a towel and rub it in your back.

What is the best way/product to remove or erase pimple scars?

You see, I have sensitive skin and some products don't agree with me like those Ponds products. And Since I have sensitive skin, I'm very prone to pimples and to pimple scars. I have a friend who lost all her pimple scars to Ponds but I'm allergic to it. What's the best alternative?

Desitin worked wonders for me!

You can find it in the baby asile of most any store - smear some of it on your face before bed and it will lighten the scars.

It'll take a couple of treatments (and it rather smelly stuff) but it works wonders.

exuviance face peel is perfect for you it is made for sensitive skin and it will help resurface your skin. they also have something called vespera that is a night time serum that also heals and hydrates the skin you will love this line if you do choose to use it believe me it helped my scars and mine were deep.

http://www.neostrata.com

microdermabrasion.

got rid of ALL my imperfections -- pox mark on my cheek -- 7 year old scar from a pimple -- scar from car accident -- huge pores on my nose.

expensive but worth it

use pro-active or coco butter it doesn't cost a lot of money usually at a local drug store when you apply it to your face don't use a lot of it just necessary

try Bio Oil it worked wonders on my scars

try palmers skin sucess for marks due to pimples, and for acne try biore hot facail mask along wit all there skincare products it works.

Hmm...don't know if this will work for you since you have sensitive skin. I use St. Ives Apricot facial scrub, and it will hurt the first few times. You remove the skin cells, and replace them with new ones. Some friends use a Noxema (sp) sensitive skin. Same results, but not as agressive.

What is the fastest way to get rid of a pimple?

I don't really have serious acne but when i get a pimple it stands out like alot!! does anyone know what products work the best or what is the fastest way to get rid of it?

Put some antibacterial cream on it.

You shouldn't squeeze it as this will only spread infection causing more spots but IF you must then you must be clean about it-

make sure you get a tissue covering both your fingers and squeeze hard until it bleeds, the blood will help flush out the puss and infection at the bottom of the spot. Then you MUST wash out the area with an antibacterial spray and put a small amount of anti bacterial cream on.

But I'd really recommened just leaving the spot alone whilst applying antiseptic cream twice a day.

I put equal parts of baking soda and water,

cake it on there for like 15 minyes,

rinse it off and it get the small ones away in one

night, but bug ones, probably 2-3 days http://answers.yahoo.com/question/accuse_write?qid=20070527150444AA8ZIJZ&kid=H41qIXHGBDXX0qJq5K.6&s=comm&date=2008-06-25+22%3A03%3A16&.crumb=

Facial scrub and warm compresses.

crest toothpaste, not the gel. leave on overnight, if that doesn't work try calamine lotion

I thought ProActiv was a bunch of crap, but I broke down and bought a kit at the mall...and I have to tell you ...I am very impressed. 4 months and not one pimple. (I am not prone to acne, but I would get the occasional hormonal breakout.)

Regular old toothpaste dries out pimples quickly and overnight making them less noticeable.

Clearasil is a good product to use as well.

pop it when it's been in warm water after a min. or so. after the puss comes out, don't squeeze it anymore. but if the puss isnt coming out easily then it's not ready to pop which means you just have to deal with it for now, if you try to pop it when it's not ready you could end up with a scar where that pimple was. . . [and maybe put makeup on, i know your a guy, but if it stands out THAT bad, then i'd put on makeup if i were you!]

that tv stuff or pop it

well its better if u wash ur face everyday in the morning with warm water and dont pick at it ............. then it will be gone in a day or two cauise if u keep touching it or u pop it u will grow pimples EVERYWHERE so its better to just wash ur face with warm water every morning or after ever meal.

How to get pimple scaring less noticeable?

I've never had a pimple scar my face before but this one got infected or something and now there is a scar there! I've tried Vitamin E. It did some help, but is there another thing i can use to help?

Yeah, I've tried vitamin E too. it helps to a point... if you are no longer noticing a change get some cocoa or shea butter. this usually comes as a lotion or cream, but sometimes you can find it as an oil. cocoa butter also works on stretch marks :) it will be a gradual change though, the scar will slowly fade. it took putting an entire 1.5 oz tube of cocoa butter over a few months for the stretch marks to go away. I've been alternating Shea butter (putting it on after a shower) and oil (once a day) to cover up scars from a break out i had two months ago and they are almost gone now. sunless tanner might also help because it stays on longer than any cover up makeup and absorbs into the skin better.

well if you wear make a non oil based concealer this will cover it with out increasing the change of the same one coming back... look in your make up products to see if they help with acne..not saying you have it it just prevents it... hope it helps

Keep applying the Vitamin E oil. It doesn't work overnight! It works over a long period of time. The longer you apply it, the less noticeable that it will be.

You can try Tea Tree Oil. It's very good for scars and healing cuts and such. And Mederma is also another good scar cream. You can buy it at any drugstore.

Foundation?

I dunno.

How do I reduce the redness of a popped pimple?

I have a pimple that has finally gone down and stopped hurting but is still very red. Any remedies that might minimize the redness besides covering it with makeup?

Use ice or anything cold, even holding a cold can of soda on the spot will help reduce the redness and the swelling you have.

A really good make up is Bare Escentuals Bare Minerals! They have a cover mineral that works so well, YOU won't even notice the redness very much at all! They have special brushes to apply the minerals make up with, so make sure you use them. This make up is great! It's good for your skin also! It doesn't "melt" away and is also "sweat-proof"! Choose shades that are closest to your skin tone and I promise you, you're gonna love the way your face looks! :)

One of the best AND cheapest way of getting the Bare Minerals is to go to eBay! You can get a lot more for your money there!

Honey is a great remedy for acne and pimples because the honey kills bacteria. More such solutions at http://solutionsforpimples.blogspot.com/

This works for me. Slice cucumbers up and put them in the refrigerator for 4 hours. Then apply them to the red spot. Works for red pimples and rosacea.

There are many home remedies for skin ailments, and people covere their face in all sorts of creams and potions. Some common antizit home remedies people try concocting include baking soda, vinegar, coffee grounds, Mercurochrome (a red substance no longer sold in this country), iodine, hemorrhoid cream, sugar, salt, and toothpaste.

But how to use them watch out the given link:http://www.bukisa.com/articles/50548_acne-aka-pimples-aka-zits-problems-will-toothpaste-get-rid-of-them

Tea tree oil. That stuff is amazing. Just a lil bit works wonders! Best before bed time because it is a bit oily, but it works wonders~~~hope it does the same for u!!!!

i know it sounds silly...but visine(that eye stuff to make you eye not red and dry). I got it for my wedding just in case i had any blemishes that i needed to take care of. Hope this helps!!!!!

What are some methods of getting rid of a pimple without medicine-type stuff?

I got a difficult pimple yesterday on my forehead. My sister tells me it's from stress and whatnot. I do not have proactive or other kinds of professional treatment since acne doesn't run in my family so it's usually pointless to have medicine for it. Any suggestions, please?

Your not the only one that gets pimples and zits. I get them all the time cuz I had some on face like weeks ago and instead of using Proactive or Neutrogena or Clean n Clear I tried something else. I tried using Clean n Clear but it didn't work for me. So then my sister told me to put some vaseline on and it actually worked! I recommend that you put some toothpaste paste on, or alchohol, or vaseline. Trust me if you put some vaseline on then it will work because when I did it, it worked for me and cured my pimples and zits on my face. Vaseline pretroleum jelly works because it keeps bacteria from going into your skin.

it's always good to have one spot treatment lying around. I only get pimples at my time of the month so the one treatment stick thingy lasts me over a year. but if you just can't get to the store, try A TINY BIT of rubbing alcohol on a Q-tip and put in JUST ON THAT ONE SPOT and no more than once or twice. that should dry it out enough to where you can pop it

The toothpaste trick is good.

Or you could try dabbing it with hydrogen peroxide or rubbing alcohol before bed as well. This helps kill bacteria.

Your average antibacterial hand soap makes a good acne face wash as well. Just keep it away from your skin around your eyes and use a good moisturizer.

A quick fix to dry out a pimple is to put a dab of toothpaste on it overnight. It has to be paste, not gel. It will dry out the zit and reduce the redness!

An ole grandmother tip. Your saliva first thing in the morning before you drink or eat anything is very strong-put this on the spot and it will dry it out.

What is the quickest way to dry out a pimple?

I am looking for home remedies or anything else to help clear up a pimple.

2.5% benzoyle peroxide...the active ingrediant in Neutrogena on-the-spot acne treatment. Go to walgreens and get some it's like $5

Well if u just want to dry it out then mix baking soda with some water. Apply and keep it on for 10-20 min. Wash off. Or just use toothpaste for overnight and wash off. But make sure the toothpaste is more of a paste, not a gel though.

How do I get rid of an open wound pimple on my face?

I made the mistake of scratching off a pimple on my cheek and it turned into a open wound. Ive tried, ointment, hydrogen peroxide and rubbing alcohol. It looks like it is getting a little better but I want to speed up the healing process.

take a wet wash cloth and put it in the micowave for 30 seconds and then put it on the pimple. it will burn but it will dry up by the next day.

UGH I GOT THE HEEBY GEEBES

Seriously just leave it alone. That is the best thing. Wash your face gently and then don't bother it or put anything on it. You'll be surprised how fast it will heal if you take a hands off approach.

If the skin is broken, cleanse the area and apply Neosporin. The sore will heal quickly.

In general, fresh aloe vera from the plant works well as a topical treatment after washing your face (better to do this at night - there will be temporary redness).

Also, Neosporin works well in the winter time as both a skin protectant, and to prevent breakouts if you have dry skin during the winter.

What is the best way to dry up a pimple over night?

I generally don't have problems with acne, but 2 or so days ago I woke up to a HUGE pimple on my chin. And tomorrow I have a big event in the evening and I want it GONE!!! Any tips you have will be greatly appreciated!

Benzoyl peroxide, the ingredient found in some acne creams. Dab some on and it will kill bacteria and dry it up. But I don't know if its going to work in 24 hours. You may just have to use a little makeup and cover it up.

Hey, I understand your frustration!

I bought numerous anti-pimple/acne products but it doesn't help at all! I wasted like hundreds over dollars and have no results.

The most frustrating part is.. you think your face is about to be pimple/acne-free and you realize a new one is coming! ARGH!

I used to be in your shoes so I really understand how you feel. Now my skin is perfect and beautiful!

There's a book that helped me a lot - it clears pimple/acne myths and teaches you the real cure! It only took 2-3 days for my acne/pimples condition to improve significantly! This book has been the most talked about among determologists. Learn more about the book here: http://www.AcneFreeInThreeDays.tk

24hour may be too short to treat acne. If it is a pustule, draining it is the quickest. If it is not, need prescription cream or gel. Sometimes can inject with steriod. I can't tell without a photo of it.

What can I do to get rid of a pimple?

I have a pimple on my nose and it's huge. I can't pop it because it is just a bump and it won't work. I want it gone before 5 days because I am busy that day. Do you know what can do/put on it that will make it go away soon?

YOu should never pick/pop pimples......it just makes them go deeper and stay longer....might look like they left but they will just come back. Try MD Forte ....you can buy it on line www.dermusskincare.com Otherwise I've heard toothpaste overnight works........only works sometimes for me..........proactive doesn't work unless you have very little acne .....

do not touch it a lot. It'll get irritated and probably stay red longer. A home rememdy is that you can mix salt and a drop or two of water to make "salt slush" in your palm or a small cup, and use a Q-tip to dab it onto the area. The salf eats away the bacteria. Do that as much as you can, while your just sitting at home.

if you want to cover it up with makeup, coverup in your complexion wont help that much. If you can, find a GREEN coverup, put that on your pimple [because on the color wheel, green reduces red], and then put your regular coverup on top of the green. it will not be noticable at all.

Whatever you do, don't mess with it or try to pop it before you see it come to a white head.... or else it'll get much, much worse and possibly spread the bacteria to create more pimples.

Dap on benzoyl peroxide (5-10%) twice or three times a day to dry it up. Use coverup in the meantime to hide it.

dear pimple fanatic,

you can use proactiv if your skin isn't to bad, but if it is really bad,you should probably use aveeno, it's a positavely radiant cleanser... if you need anymore advice, e-mail me at c.sebesta@yahoo.com

what i do that works is before you go to bed at night put a dab of mint toothpaste on it most of the time the pimple is gone the next morning

good luck=]

apply toothpaste overnight.

or mix baking soda and water together to form like a lotion/ paste and apply to face and leave for 15 - 30 minutes, then wash off with warm water!

You can crush 1to 2 Aspirin tablets mix with a little water and apply on pimples for 15 minutes and wash. More such solutions at http://solutionsforpimples.blogspot.com/

What does a pimple do to your face once its infected?

I think i might have an infected pimple on my face cuz it hurt REALLY bad (its under my nose) and if i wigle my nose it hurts. on a sale of 1-10 a 3 1/2 ... i had another question on here about it and people are sayin it could be infected.

a zit is an infection of bacteria that has been trapped in the skin

typically a zit will develop in a pore and over time will go away

if you tried to pop the zit though you might have 'cause the oil gland to rupture under your skin and 'caused the bacteria to spread making the zit bigger and even more sensitive.

if i was you i would just leave it alone and maybe apply some cortisone or rubbing alcohol to it to help it dry out.

if you continue to get zits like this you can always have your doctor refer you to a dermatologist.

i used to get these all the time and they hurt like hell!

if you leave them alone though they wont get as big and wont be as painful.

Nothing.. it might take a while to heal.

At worst, it'll leave a scar.

Pimples are lesions that occur when the skin’s pores are obstructed or infected. The most basic form of pimple prevention is hygiene and preventive skin care.Helpful solutions for pimples at http://solutionsforpimples.blogspot.com/

What is your favorite fast acting pimple medication?

When you have a pimple and you absolutely need it gone by dinner that night or tomorrow for a big event, what do you do? Do you use a home remedy? Do you use a pimple medication? Tell me what it is you use. For example Clean&Clear Advantage acne spot treatment would be your answer....

Before you buy any acne treatment product you should take the following into consideration:

1. Know your skin type. People with oily skin should choose a gel based product, those with dry skin should choose a cream. If you are like most people and have combination skin, choose the product that best works with the afflicted area. If your acne flares up in the oily spots, choose a gel, if it is the dry skin that gets the zits, choose a cream.

2. The more sensitive your skin, the lower concentration of active ingredient you will need. Choosing a product that is too strong could actually make the situation worse by over drying the area and causing the skin to react by increasing oil production. This can end up causing more acne. If you have sensitive skin, stick with the milder formulations.

3. Some mild creams can be used as a preventative measure, but most acne creams are too harsh to be used before you see or feel a zit. Read the lables carefully and only apply the medication to places that are acne prone or actually have acne present.

4. If the acne is excessively painful, or if it becomes painful after trying an OTC product, try taking an anti-inflammatory medication like ibuprofen and get to a doctor ASAP.

5. If your skin has large pustules that appear in clusters, if they are painful, if your acne causes scars, or if you can't seem to get rid of a blemish (it starts to go away only to reappear just when you thought it was gone), your acne may require treatment by a doctor.

Honey remedy for skin blemishes ... Cover the blemish with a dab of honey and place a Band-Aid over it. Honey kills the bacteria, keeps the skin sterile, and speeds healing. Works overnight.

You can clean your skin with apple cider vinegar as an overnight home pimple remedy. Another overnight home pimple remedy consists of cleaning your skin with lemon juice.Cleansing your skin is very important in fighting acne. Some people think that acne is caused by dirt and poor hygiene. This is not true. However, you will need to get rid of excessive oil and bacteria on your skin. One way to do this is to buy an acne cleanser. Another way is to use lemon. Lemon cleanses your skin and provides it with Vitamin C. Just rub a piece of lemon on your face before going to bed and wash it off in the morning.

Another excellent homemade acne treatment is garlic. Apparently garlic is not only good against vampires, but against acne as well. Cut a garlic clove and apply juice directly on acne affected aria. After a few times of garlic treatment acne will disappear.

Papaya fruit is a great natural acne remedy, and unlike garlic it smells pleasantly. Mash some papaya and make a facial mask from the paste. Remove it in 10-15 minutes with a wet cloth. Papaya cures acne and also helps prevent future outbreaks.

Acne home treatment can be very effective and work as good or even better, than acne products you have to pay for. The key here is persistence. Don't expect your acne to disappear from one application of lemon or a papaya mask. Homemade treatments usually take about a week to work. But they are safe, natural and don't cost you much.

Toothpaste will help with a blemish that you are trying to get rid of quickly

apple sauce, dip a rag in some and then hold it to your zit for a few minuits and let it soak in....by the next morning itll be gone!

i dont know why but i heard if you get a little sugar and you put lemon on it and u rub your face real hard with the lemon and sugar it helps alot. Dont know for sure becuz sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt. Also Vick vapor rub works allot on curing pimples.

i like noxema. it really helps me

What can I use to diminish the appearance of pimple scars?

Please let me know if you know of any home remedies or products I can use on my face for pimple scars! Help!

Red/Brown marks you can slowly fade with a 50/50 mix of Apple Cider Vinegar and water. Just dab some on your face with a cotton ball/pad every night before you go to sleep. Once you get used to it change the solution from 75/25 until it's only Apple Cider Vinegar.

If it's in indented scars you need to viset a doctor and get like fat injected in your face to raise the scars.

As for instant gratification benefit makes a product called Dr. Feelgood that is a balm that you put on before your foundation that fills in the scars and fine lines some giving the appearance of smother even skin. Also, if you want more then that dermablend works well too. As for long term I would recommend microdermabrasion treatments, which can be kind of pricey but I can tell you it does work.

What are the pimple like bump things you get on your tongue?

Ever since I was a little girl I would very rarely get this painful pimple like bump on the tip of my tongue. My mom would always tell me that they were lie bumps. But I know that isnt what they are really called. What are they really called and what causes them to appear? How can I treat it to go away?

Quoted directly from the site... " "Lie bumps" are caused by trauma (rubbing, scraping or biting) that removes the surface of the one of the fungiform papillae. The fungiform papillae are the normal little bumps on the tongue that people call "taste buds." Most people, when their tongue is irritated, can't seem to keep from rubbing it against the teeth to make it feel better (sort of like scratching an itch); however, this usually makes things worse. You might want to try using a protective over-the-counter medication such as OraBase or Zilactin. These materials act like a bandage and help to protect the ulcerated surface of the fungiform papilla."

What does a pimple looking dot on my hamster mean?

My hamster has a pimple looking dot on her stomach by her bathtroom hole. She also has a loss of hair and looks like it is going to move onto the other side. What could this be?

Bathroom hole, lol.

Well I have no idea, but I would strongly suggest taking your hamster to the vet, sooner rather than later!

My brother just popped a pimple and there is a dark circle around it. How do I get rid of it?

Okay, so my brother just popped a pimple on his forehead a little above his eyebrow. Now there is a dark semi-circle under the popped pimple and it seems like somewhat of a dark clot. Can you please tell me how to get rid of it and also how to clear up acne scars?

Ask him to directly rub potato slices all over the face and wash after 30 minutes this when done regularly , helps to get rid of acne, blemishes and pimple scar. More such solutions at http://solutionsforpimples.blogspot.com/

It's probably just blood trapped between the skin tissue.. I don't think there's much you can do, it should go away in a few days. Meanwhile if it really bothers you, you can cover it up with some make up, like cover up or concealer.. ask your sister if you have one.. good luck! =]

P.S. Oh and to prevent scars, don't squeeze and pop the pimples, because that is what causes the scars..

ICE AND MAYBE USE SOME FOUNDATION AND FACE POWDER

How to get rid of pimple scars and marks left behind?

I have many small pimple scars over my cheeks and I wanna know how can I get rid of these scars. Also, how often should I shave because sometimes I cut my pimples and it worsens. Would you advice using Men's Makeup when going out say on a date or does it make it worse.

any scar product will get rid of it... try cocoa butter it worked for me....

Make up can usually make your skin worse. I had scars on my face too from pimples and stuff. I went to see a dermatologist and he prescribed a daily face wash, followed by use of benzoyl peroxide and then I used Retina Micro and it made the scars fade significantly and also cleared up my skin

Vitamin E Oil. Works wonders. And yes, use some make-up that won't add oils to your face but instead prevent break outs. Any more questions or comments you can e-mail me! : ) Have a nice rest of your night!

first is make sure those are scars and not yet an acne(the simple pimples which keep on coming back).

if it's a pimple scar then try Lancome products or there are alot of other less expensive brands in the market too but i used one from Lancome before.it's a spot corrector and it brightens dark spots and gives radiance at the same time.

try body shop and Loreal, they have some too.

male make-up or concealers are just for metrosexuals and women woudnt like your make-up staining their white dress during your date and make-out session so escape on the make-up. Spots are not just in outer layer of the skin so the treatment is better when u try to consider the deeper problem of it.

in in case you are metrosexual, you can use concealer and the best i've tried is Laura Mercier Secret Camuflage and you have to do abit of mixing to get the same shade of your skin, they have diff. shades to choose from and to apply it is gently tap it on your skin and dont rub.it work wonders for mu dark undereye circles too.

as for the scars vitamin e works great, buy the tablets, bite the tip off an on clean hands spread a small amount on the bad areas. or they have cream ,now that helps with scars. I had bad acne an belive in vitamin e. Plus taking orally is also beneficall to u. Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!BE real careful when shaving, try to go all around it,if you can. Lemons juice can be put on to kill germs. cold water to shrink the inflamation or i hear visine also skills the redness.

How do I know whether it is a pimple or a cold sore?

I have this annoying pimple/cold sore underneath my lip. It also has caused the bottom of my lip to swell right where the pimple/cold sore is. How do I know whether this is a pimple or a cold sore?

Cold sores you usually break open. Abreva, Valtrex and Acyclovir are options, however the problems is it takes time to heal. For a cold sore to heal faster it needs to dry out. A friend of mine recommended this great product and it actually dried out the sore within 10 minutes and started to scab (which is the healing process). The product works great. you should consider it.

here is the link. http://www.choraphor.com/?scart_affiliate_id=21

cold sores (HERPES SIMPLEX 1) itches and then burns a bit and never comes to a head...it gets pus filled and hurts like a wound after a day or 2.Get ABREVA...it works for me.

Cold sore blisters usually break open, weep clear fluid, and then crust over and disappear after a few days.

A pimple would have puss in it (and be white) not fluid filled

Try using a hot compress to open the 'pimple' I'd say it's a cold sore- head to the drug store for some things to treat it.

A pimple usually opens or heals in about 24-36 hours once it forms a head...

Other symptoms may include:

* A sore mouth that makes eating, drinking, and sleeping uncomfortable. Cold sores can be painful.

* A fever.

* A sore throat.

* Swollen lymph nodes in the neck.

How do you stop a pimple from growing?

I have a pimple, that isn't fully a pimple yet. Its just red and it hurts, please any ways that it can stop growing? Thankyouu in advance.

applying rubbing alcohol will dry out the pimple and hopefully make it less noticeable

You can use "Deep Cleaning Astringent" Clean and Clear. If you wipe your face, or just the bad spots on your face about twice a day, you should be fine. Keep doing this twice a day until it's gone, when you aren't breaking out too bad, you can just do this once a day.

I hope this helps you!!

Don't pick at it and there really isn't a way to stop it from growing. Unless you pop it but you really don't want to do that. To get the redness down crush an asprin pill and make a paste with water and leave it on the pimple till it dries.

I recently started using On the spot by Neutrogena and it really works. Just follow the directions and make sure you use a good moisturizer.

Apply Vanishing Point 7.5 toner with a cotton ball it really works

How do I get rid of a difficult pimple within an hour?

I have this pimple (dont read if you get disgusted easily) that is above my chin and it is dried up but if i pick at it, it will just come back. Can someone tell me how to get rid of it within an hour?

if its a white head put hydrogen peroxide on it. if its ready to pop then the hydrogen peroxide will open up the pores and the puss will come out, you use hydrogen peroxide because it kills bacteria and it will lessen pimples from coming back. if its not ready then its just not ready...

dont touch it if you pick at it it will get redder and inflamed which you dont want. put a dab of toothpaste on it (not the gel) it should dry it out

MAYBE BUST IT THATS WHAT I DO.

Try toothpaste, sounds silly.. but its a wonder. It can dry up the pimple up to like 30 mins tops

What are some home remedies to fade a pimple scar?

I don't mean horrible acne scars.. I got a rather large pimple a week ago, it's going away but its kind of like light purplish reddish and I just want it to fade.

Are there any good home remedies that would help the fading process?

I don't know about home remedies. My surgeon recommended poking a Vitamin E capsule with a needle and squeezing the liquid on the scar. They're now so faded I can't even find them. Another surgeon recommended Nivea cream. That one worked as well.

How do I get rid of the redness caused by a pimple?

My pimple seems to be gone, but now I have a dime size red mark on my skin. I am a guy so I do not have make-up to conceal it. I heard toothpaste, benzoyl peroxide, egg white, basil, visine, & numerous other remedies but am not sure which one really works. From experience, can you tell me what I should put on the pimple overnight to reduce the redness? Thanks.

Wash your face with dial soap, rinse well with warm then cool water and pat dry.

Then apply with a cotton ball 70% Isopropyl Alcohol at least twice a day to get the redness to go away.

This has worked for both my sons when they had this problem and now they know how to treat it if and when it happens again.

Makeup would only make matters worse for the condition anyway.

Best of luck and in a day or two the redness will be gone.

try using facial soap and water.... wash your face every night... but don't be too harsh on applying it... dont' be too conscious to yoursef too... hve enough sleep and relax....

don't put too much on your face, it'll make the pimple even more red. try taking a zinc supplement. zinc helps to reduce inflammation and reduce swelling when it comes to skin blemishes or irritations. if you can get your hands on a zinc tablet, try taking one orally then crushing one up and mixing it with a bit of water to make a paste, then dab that onto the area where the pimple was. other than that, keep your face clean, drink enough water, and get tons of sleep, and it'll be all cleared up in no time.

hope all goes well!

Visine does work, it is made to get the red out of eyes and it does work on blemishes. Also make sure you keep your face clean and DON"T touch it.You will keep bacteria on it ,if you keep touching it.Put the visine on a q-tip and use it several times a day. Good luck

After you wash it, try putting some anti-biotic ointment on it (Neosporin, etc.) It will reduce chances that the pore will become re-infected, and speed healing.

The only other suggestion I have is to ice the spot- the redness is inflamation, and the cool will bring that swelling down.. Visine may also do the same thing, but I've never tried it.

Benzoyl peroxide will actually increace incident of acne, even if it takes care of the one little monster....

If you have a sister or mom (or girlfriend?), you could sneak their concealer... make sure it matches your skin tone, use just a tiny bit and make sure you BLEND it!!! The last thing you want is for it to be obvious!!

i've heard that eye drops work. i've never really tried it....but hey. why not?

Treatment â€" Benzoyl Peroxide

In most forms of acne, benzoyl peroxide is a highly effective treatment. Benzoyl peroxide aids in the removal of dead skin cells, suppressing the bacteria which contributes to acne. This is believed to be achieved by the benzoyl peroxide absorbing into the pores, interfering with the acne bacterial metabolism through oxidation. Benzoyl peroxide is available in varying strengths. It is recommended to start with a lower strength as stinging and redness may initially occur. When applied at night, most of the redness caused by treatment should have disappeared by morning.

What products at drugstores are good for pimples and pimple scars?

Any good products for pimples and pimple scarring, mainly scarring though at drugstores. i need clear skin for skool and only have 1 month to do this...

Acne scarring is perhaps worse than the acne itself.

My acne scars weren't horrible. They probably weren't even that noticeable after I put on my foundation. However, I certainly noticed them and that was all it took to bother ME.

If you've got acne scars, you may feel a bit helpless. But you don't have to because there are alternatives to getting rid of acne scars. And you CAN do something about it.

So what do you do about it? Well, there is totally a solution ... actually there are many.

These are NATURAL treatments.

Now, just because you hear the word "natural", I don't want you to shake your head and think you need to just buy some over the counter miracle cream. These remedies WORK! And you'll find that by consistently using them, your acne scars WILL fade just like mine did.

So without further ado, here are my favorite natural acne scar solutions:

Vitamin E

Don't underestimate the power of this healing lotion. You can get it at any drugstore in topical form. I have a HUGE bottle of it under my sink :) . Vitamin E naturally heals scars by moisterizing the damaged skin. Use it everyday to fade away acne scars.

Cocoa Butter

This one should be used carefully. If your acne is not already under control, cocoa butter does pose the threat of additional breakouts. However, if you're using the 3 Day Cure technique and your skin is finally clear, this is a powerful healing tool. Cocoa Butter will soften skin, lighten the scars and make them fade into nothing. I love this one. By the way, Cocoa Butter also works great on fading stretch marks.

Honey

Okay, this is totally gonna change your life! Honey works overtime on acne & acne scars. Yes, Honey! When I first learned about this natural remedy, I was pretty bewildered. The sound of it alone is confusing. Honey is a sticky, sugary substance. How can it possibly clear up skin?

Honey kills bacteria while simultaneously lessens the red look of irritated skin. The acidity in the honey evens out your skin tone, shrinks current pimples and will give your skin a softer feel. Listen, I know you may be skeptical of this solution. I was at first, then I tried it. This natural acne scar remedy works great.

Lemon

Lemon will help clear up acne as well as fade acne scars. Plus your face will smell like a freshly shined harwood floor, so that's a plus ;)

The acidity in the juice will lighten the redness of the scars and balance your skin's pH levels to prevent future breakouts. Give it a shot.

Check out the SOURCE LINK below.

for pimple i use acne gel, i buy them in my dermatologist for scars use whitening cream, ponds detox are nice and cheap, but in the drugstore u can buy synalar.. but i recommend go to a dermatologist so that its safe, because we have different type of skin,it may not work on you...or you skin is to sensitive for it.

The combination of Tea Tree Oil soap and the Clindamycin cream is the best for Acne and pimple.

For acne scars and blemishes my wife lighten them up using papaya kojic and licorice base soap and cream which are available online. These work wonders. Maybe it will work on you too. Try searching it through Google 'shopaholic's bargains'

This guide will help you find products at the drugstore or WalMart that will clear your acne: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/904307/keep_your_acne_from_taking_over_your.html?cat=69

You don't need acne kits or expensive products like proactiv. Try this guide and if it doesn't work see if you can go to a dermatologist.

Good luck!

Use warm cloth to open pores, smear on honey, leave on 15 to 30 minutes, rinse off with warm water, and then use cold water to close pores. Use for 3 days in a row and then once a week. Sometimes I mix a little gound oatmeal with the honey, which makes a great mask.

Just beat one egg white until it is frothy. Spread it all over your face. Wait until it dries. Rinse it off. My face feels very clean and "tight" after this application. And then I use the yolk for cooking.

Here are some more tips for oily skin:

dissolve a teaspoon of baking yeast in a small amount of warm milk, wait until foamy, then apply (best done in the bath tub);

puree flesh of a tomato and mix with some potato flour to make a paste;

cucumber (it will whiten your skin);

beaten egg whites with a few drops of lemon juice (great for getting rid of blackheads);

carrots (but don't use this one more than about every other week because it can overdry your skin). This one will make you look tanned.

Last but not least....Get a succulent plant...also known as Aloe Vera...what u do is ...cut the leaf and apply the gel on ur face for 15 to 30 mins for a whole week..and then 2X a week after that

How do I reduce the redness of a pimple after it has been popped?

I couldn't resist... I know it's terrible to pop them but I couldn't help myself. Now I have a huge red spot that looks worse than the original pimple. How do I reduce the redness within a day or two (read: by work on Monday) without covering it up with makeup?

Put an ice cube on it. And add a drop of tea tree or lavender oil to sterilise it and stop it getting infected. As long as you leave it alone it'll be fine by Monday.

well dont touch the red area it will make it worse. put ice on it. and then maybe some neosporean i have no idea i usually just put my foundation on it..

Neosporin and noxema cream

dont poke it or fiddle around with it and put something cold on it like a frozen steak or ice...

How can I tell the difference between a pimple and coldsore?

This morning I found a bump on my lower lip and I thought it was a coldsore first. So, I used Abreva and thought it would get smaller/less red.

But then my friend said it might be a pimple.

How can I tell the difference between the two?

coldsores hurt

Cold sores are usually a cluster of small blisters, red, and itch. You usally get cold sores on the same spot on your lip over and over. So if it's not where you usally get one, it dosen't itch, and it's a white head and not blisters it might be a pimple.

Visit the skin care source below. It discusses cold sores and other lip problems and their treatment.

cold sores are flat whereas pimples almost come to a point. also cold sores will be just off the lips. you can't pop a cold sore like a pimple.

How can i get rid of a pimple?

I have a huge pimple on the tip of my nose. I let the pimple just sit there hoping that it will go away but nothing happened so a week later i popped it and i put some acne cream on it and a bandage. When i woke up the next day it was back so i tried boiling some water and letting it steam on my face. I popped it again for the 2nd time and then i woke up the next day and popped it twice that day.

I have popped it 4 times now and it keeps coming back.I really need to get rid of this pimple becuase i have class picture coming in a week.

You need to dry the area out. The nose is particulary bad because the skin is pulled tight and takes longer to heal. My advice would be to soak some cotton wool in surgical spirit and hold it on the pimple for about 3 mins. then let it air dry and repeat before you go to bed after a shower.

also keep your fingers away from it, that will just make it worse.

Good luck!

use calamine. get information here also. http://story.seo.googlepages.com/theories.html

go on the sun, get tanned, it will dry this thing out and it should disapear

welll im sorry mister YOU HAVE ACCCENNEEEE so do i get proactive and clean it everyday

-I know that if you put rubbing alochol on it...it would dry it out

-I heard that you can put toothpaste on it (but make sure that it's gel)

-I heard that if you put ointment on it (like neosporin) it would bring up the bateria up to the surface.

It really all depends on your face too...by means of this...your skin may have a reaction to the different kinds of treatment you put on your face...but whatever you do...DON'T try "ZAPZIT" it doesn't work at all...

That must really suck! But i suggest you buy something for it like those things that be on commercials. I dont know if they work but it's a suggestion. I also heard that if you put toothpaste on it, it will go away but i personally never tried it

try a dab of pure honey, leave it on all night with a band aid.

How do i make the redness in a pimple go away?

i have a pimple and it is making a red bump on my face. i heard if you hold ice to it the redness will go away, is that true? Are there any other ways?

Yeah ice helps apart from that you can try this. Apply equal amount of lemon juice and rose water with a cotton ball, leave for half an hour and wash.More such solutions at http://solutionsforpimples.blogspot.com/

How do you get rid of a stubborn pimple?

I have a pimple on my chin. I have been using AcneFree but it won't go away and has been there for a few months now. It's gotten to the point now where I can pop it and it gets even bigger, redder, and uglier and I can't figure out why it won't go away when the rest of my face stays clear! Someone help!

Rule #1: Hands off! The more you touch it and fool with it, the worse it's going to get. All you're doing is adding additional irritation.

Wash your face well with a face soap like Nuetragena (no perfumes or irritants) and warm water. Don't SCRUB the dickens out of it - just wash gently. Apply hydrogen peroxide - the stuff's cheap and it works!

Also, if you have access to a hot tub, at a gym perhaps, go soak, all the way up to your chin. The hot water will open your pores and there's enough chlorine in those things to kill an elephant.

You should see a dermatologist. They can give you a cortisone shot.

Try Witch Hazel

Sit back... this is a LONG answer, but I wanted to help you out! I know it can be frustrating. This REALLY works!! There are 2 people sent me an email saying to me that it worked for them!! This was also been chosen by 5 members to be the best answer because it worked for them too!! Proof, see their comments about this treatment..

Gather all materials beforehand -- see "Things You'll Need" below. You might want to store them in a waterproof resealable bag, such as Ziploc. I'd recommend wearing either old clothes or a bathrobe over whatever you are wearing. There is a definite possibility this is going to spill. After you have found everything on you checklist, head to a large, flat, waterproof surface. This is probably your bathroom. Having this room be private is highly advised; you can't just say, "Get out, I'm flattening a pimple," can you?

Things You'll Need

- 3 or more cotton balls

- Lukewarm tap water

- Cup to hold the water in

- Salt

The Method

1. Salt the water thoroughly -- much more than you think it needs.

2. Dip one cotton ball in the salt water.

3. Wait for 30 - 60 seconds.

4. Squeeze out excess water out until it is damp, but not dripping.

5. Place the damp cotton ball over your large, oh-my-goodness-I-cannot-go-to-... zit. If you have several of these grouped together, try to place the cotton ball over them all.

6. Glance at your watch/clock. Wait exactly three minutes.

7. Remove the cotton ball after the time is up. The zit seems to be nearly gone, but it is only the top that has dissolved. Your acne is still there.

8. Take the other two cotton balls and place them on either side of the despised pimple.

9. Slowly, move them closer together until the tiny bump is flattened. Congrats! You've just conquered that giant of a pimple -- forever!

10. Apply honey on the infected area & go to sleep!!

Tips

*Don't forget the last 3 steps -- they are crucial.

*Be sure to follow these steps closely. Dipping a cottonball in fresh water as opposed to salt will not work, for instants.

* You might want to bring a book -- either waterproof or one that you do not care about being splattered in water. Those three minutes can get boring.

* This is your best bet for monster zits that simply sneak up on you. For long-term healthy skin, cleansing and toning is also important.

Warnings

* Please, PLEASE, do not assume this is permission to "pop" pimples. Doing so can cause major scarring. Please don't pop them.

* If you stop after the top is dissolved, I must warn you: it WILL come back! Maybe not in the next five minutes, but during the course of an hour, it will come back!

If you feel new pimples erupting, ice it! Hold an ice cube over the area for about 5-10 minutes. It REALLY works!!!

If you have too many pimples/whiteheads/blackheads/... I recommend you to try Carley's Clear & Smooth!! It's CHEAPER & BETTER than Proactive!! People are raving about this product!! Read their feedbacks/reviews!!

http://cgi.ebay.com/Adult-Acne-The-best-skin-treatment-in-the-world_W0QQitemZ290064245774QQihZ019QQcategoryZ29618QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item290064245774

GOOD LUCK!!

It's probably a boil, not a pimple. Boils are kind of the same except the infection is deeper and it doesn't go away as easily. You need to buy this stuff called Ichthammol. It's an ointment that draws out the infection from the boil and brings it to the surface so it can heal. The ointment is like, brown, so you can just have it on at night under a band-aid. Other than that, keep it clean and treat it like a wound. You can also put warm compresses on it to drain the pus when it comes out.

shave it off,and put alcohol on it.

please see a dermatologist sounds like you've developed a abcess or boil type infection

I have lot of pimple and acne after 3 months changing to vegetarian food?

It is still lasting until now that is 4 months already. During this time, I still take vgetarian food (not meat). In the past, I sometimes had acnes but never pimple on forehead, chest, back. Now, not only acne but also pimple on those places. Someone said that my toxins are going out. But, I am worried how long this thing will be last. Do we have any treatment for it? Thanks.

Not to be gross but how is your digestive tract? If you aren't getting rid of all your waste... it can cause acne- especially around your chine and upper lip. Make sure to get enough fiber and be drinking lots of water.

If that isn't the problem then I would agree with the user who said your body is in detox and it will normal out somewhat after your body gets used to the healthier you :)

It isn't scientiffically proven that your diet can cause acne. The best way to go about acne i believe is been hygenic about your face making sure that the spopt doesn't move around different parts of your face. I found a lot of information from this product here on this site http://hackingyouracne.blogspot.com/ it will describe a lot of treatment to you and will be really useful!

Body wash with salicylic acid (neutrogena, the orange liquids)

to treat: benzoyl peroxide (2.5%, remember to moisturize) and apply in morning and night

for long term tx: exercise to balance your hormonal balance (TRUST ME ON THIS)

your body is in detox, it is getting rid of oils that cause pimples. when all the oils are out, you will be fine and better than ever

You may be eating more salads and pastas. Be careful that you aren't using too much olive oil or other oily vinigarettes because that could affect your skin.

Meat is taking revenge on you for abandoning it.

To those who believe it is just de-tox I say BUNK.!!! Pimples are just happening, probably you are just that age.

i am 24 and still get some pimples you are fine

The tricky part about acne is that the problem can

actually become worse if you overmedicate. That's

because acne medication can overdry the skin, causing

a boost in your skin's Sebum (oil) production. This

results in...you guessed it - more acne.

So what's the long term solution? Find gentler

solutions or even natural acne cures that won't

shock your body into more breakouts.

Here's what I recommend...

Glycerin based facewash:

Glycerin is gentler and will balance the

pH levels in your skin.

Antibacterial Soap:

For body acne, try using an antibacterial soap

to slowly dry out the skin. If your skin gets too dry,

switch to a moisterizing soap like Dove to

counterbalance the effect.

Don't Overwash:

Wash your face only 2 times a day max and gently

pat dry with a towel.

Moisterize:

Use a gentle face moisterizer if the glycerin based

face wash drys you out too much. I like using

Aveeno moisterizers personally.

Change Your Diet:

Eat almonds, fiber, drink lots of water and avoid

excess sugar intake. Food really does make a difference.

This is because the food you put into your body has a

direct effect on your Sebum (oil) production. By eating

the right foods, you'll minimize oily skin, thereby

preventing breakouts.

Egg Whites:

If acne medication isn't working or causing new breakouts,

try applying egg whites to the pimples at night before bed.

This natural remedy works by gently drying out the clogged

pores and clearing up the pimple.

Oatmeal Masks:

One of my favorite natural skin conditioners is wearing an

"oatmeal mask". The oatmeal with smooth your skin while

simultaneously absorb toxins and oils from your pores.

Try this for a few days straight. Wear the oatmeal mask

for 10 minutes, then wash off. You'll have a nice

glowing complexion right after.

Lemon Juice:

Lemon juice also dries up pimples and kills any bacteria

in the infection. The citric acid also balances your skin's

pH levels to prevent future breakouts.

Honey:

Yes, despite your initial beliefs, honey is FANTASTIC for

skin care. Actually, you may notice on many moisterizers

that honey is an ingredient. Much like the lemon solution

above, honey balances the skins pH levels. Test out this

sticky remedy by dabbing pimples with honey and leaving it

on for 5-10 minutes. You can apply full honey masks to your

face but I prefer the oatmeal masks instead.

They're less messy.

What is the proper way of getting rid of a pimple?

I have this huge pimple on my face and I want to know how to get properly get rid of it. I know I'm not suppose to pop a pimple but what else can I do? I've been using Clean and Clear 's Acne Spot Treatment but it's not working! Any ideas?

open up your pours with hot steam

pop the pimple

give yourself a facial

I use Noxema, or just use toothpaste.

clean and clear don't work just pop it

Use proactive. works for me but b4 i had proactiv i had problems like that 2. Don't spot treat it cuz you'll make it worse. Make sure u drink enough water 2 cuz a bunch of pop is no good.

squeeeeez it!lol

POP IT

PUT SOME ALCHOHOL ON IT

AND THEN SOME NEOSPORIN

zapzyt cream

Don't pop it, no matter what other people tell you. That's gross. Give the Acne Spot Treatment some time. Use Noxzema. Wash and cleanse your face everyday. I use Premium Quality All Natural Dickinson's 100% Natural and Botanical Witch Hazel Formula Astringent Cleanser. It works!

have u also been washing your face? and using toner......the clean and clear acne spot treatment takes time.....

and so does getting rid of a pimple....... I've noticed that the clean and clear brings mine to head sooner so that they show up sooner than they would have (i can feel my pimples coming in) and then they fade away faster........ you could always apply peroxide to it or toothpaste.......but not 2 much

just pop it. there wont be a bump but there will be redness so just wash it, and use cover up for the redness. hope it helps.

Use Proactive it really helps i grantee it.

boil a teapot of water stand over it and after freeze some water nd clean ur face with it..

the hot water opens pores ..the cold closes.. so yea

Use a sandalwood paste made with water on your pimple. Let the paste dry on the zit for 10-20 minutes and then rinse off with lukewarm water.

or

Use a facemask that contains kaolin clay and/or camphor like Olay Daily Facials Cleansing Mask. It is really good. U can use it on your entire face.

or

Use Proactive overnight acne treatment mask on the zit, let it sit for 10-15 minutes and rinse off. No need to use it all over your face.

and

keep your face clean with lukewarm water and a clean towel. Do not make the mistake of washing it repeatedly with soap or else your face might get more breakouts.

and

drink 8-10 tall glasses of water (preferably not cold) and get a good night's sleep (atleast 7-8 hours)

Hope this helps..

Hi

I tried some of these home based remedies and they did work for me ,this link has a lot of information and forums to discuss issues pertaining to skin, hair and weight problems so here goes,

http://www.wellnesstalk.org/3_25_0.html....

Good luck

if the dirt is visible it is best to pop it to get it out. other than that normally it makes it worse.

just keep your face clean and continue applying your medicine.

it will eventually calm down.

AND try not to touch it... the oil in your fingers will make your pimple worse if you touch it. and even if you are popping it try not to touch it... i would suggest using the loop end of a bobbypin to get the dirt out instead of oily human fingers

You can shave it off with a razor as long as you wash your face right after.

wash it with warm water to open and remove the dirt

then rinse with cold water to close em back up

Try cleansing and toning your face. Then, dab a bit of toothpaste on your problem areas overnight. Keep doing it for a few nights.

Ignor it or wash your face like every other hour. It works for me all the time when i get pimples.

pop it

How do i get rid of a pimple underneath a thick layer of skin?

I have this pimple right under my eyebrow but its under too much skin. it wasn't under my skin at first but it healed over and now its like that. it's impossible to pop since it's so covered up and im pretty sure ointments cant reach it. Now its just a little lump there. if i leave it alone it just stays there. I've had it for a couple months already so unless i do something its going to be there forever.

yhea, accualy ointments, face washes, creams, toners/astringents can reach it, try one of these Clean And Clear products: http://www.cleanandclear.com/productRoutineDetail.do?productid=69&productpos=0

this is what I use, and it works like a charm, doesn't over oil your skin, or over dry,or flake, check it out.

Go to your Dermatologist they will inject a cortisone shot to kill the bacteria.

How can I get rid of a pimple in less then 24 hrs without taking a knife to my face?

lol, I'm going somewhere important tomorrow and I have a HUGE pimple in the middl eof my face. Its really noticable. Is there anything I can use at home that most people would have? I've tried toothpaste but I havn't had any luck. PLease help.

toothpaste and eye drops....or alchol...or vinigar

don't worry about it. In the long run it doesn't really matter, besides I wouldn't no. Sorry.

Toothpaste and neosporin.....pop it, put the toothpaste on for about 3 hours then wash it off and put neosporin on it....this helps with the redness

You can take a very HOTTT(AS HOT AS YOU CAN STAND IT) towel and put on it, and it will come to a head then it will bust on its own and there would be no mark on your face. GOOD LUCK I HOPE IT WORK FOR YOU

Try putting very hot water on a wash cloth place it on your face and keep it there until it is cold. Then wash your face and use an astringent on your face.

take an asprin pill and cruch it and add it with water then it should turn into a paste then u put it on for not too long it should make it go down and make the dryness and the redness go away

see a specialist doctor and get some anto bacterial cream and put ithat on , and supplement it with rose water, however under no circumstances ever cut it as it only deepens the spot.

Tooth paste works

Mix a little toothpaste (the plain white paste kind, not whitening or gel or anything else) with some lemon juice, dab it on, and wear it to bed.

have you tried make up or vanishing cream try a mud mask dont poke at it it will make it bigger try taking a shower that might help

Just cover it up. Blend it in...

sqeeze it until it leaks clean then bleeds a little then use some toothpaste after you clean with peroxide or alchohaul ( i do it all the time, and toothpaste does work because it dries up liquid inside the pimple) you have to use the right kind of t.p

LOL no there really isnt anything to get rid of it....just use concealer you might want to try to change your make up brand

Don;t pop it whatever ya do, use a dab of toothpaste. That should do the trick!

pop it tonight and wash your face with some face cleaner that doesn't exfoliate put a dab of some acne medication like persa gel on it and go to bed in the morning it should be ok to put a little concealer on and then apply makeup as normal

be careful cause too much toothpaste it makes it 50 times worse. first pop it right b4 u go to bed and then put any type of acne medication on it..if u dont have that then use a tiny bit of toothpaste and then make sure to get at least 8 hrs of sleep because skin heals itself while ur sleeping.

Try putting Zincofax o it..you know baby butt cream it will bring it down to nothing in no time

You can try all the toothpaste or cream remedies listed in these answers but do not--do not pop it. You'll be left with a scar that will look worse. Use the creams and let the zit work itself out naturally. it should become a white or blackhead then you can scrub it out but do not pop it.

How do I get rid of a pimple on my nose?

This pimple feels like it's underneath the skin and it really hurts to touch, how can i get rid of it?

i have trick that works very nicly. i read it only and it dries up your pimples and causes them to disapear.

take an egg and seperate the yolk from the whites. you can use eirther one, but i think the whites of the egg works better and is easier to wash off of your face.

take the white (or yolk) and spread it over your face. leave on untill it dries completely.

everyday, use a type of acne face wash 2 times a day. it costs like 2 or 3 dollars. any brand from the drugstore will work.

most people tell you not to pop pimples, but..it you really must, it always seems to make the pimple go away sooner. (but it causes a scab to appear wich wont go away for like a day or 2)

another trick to dry a pimple out is to crush up a few asprin and mix it with alchol to form a thickk paste apply this to the pimple and leave it on untill it dries. then wash it off after.

plus, let the pimple air out. if their are bangs or hair covering the pimple, it can cause oil and grease to go on the pimple preventing it not to go away.

also, some people might say to put toothpaste on the pimple over night, but i've tried this and it does NOT work.

I learned this off of some book, u first get a needle, disinfect it with alcohol, then u poke a hole in the very top from the side and make sure u get it all the way through. then wait for all the gunk to ooze out and clean it with some q-tip or something. This reduces swelling around it and won't cause any scars bcuz u won't be squishing ur skin or scratching it. um good luck

Sometimes if you squeeze it when it's like that it comes ut straight away. Best thig to do is leave it though ;)

It probably feels like a bruise am I right?

Wait until it comes up.

I heard that rubbing toothpaste on your pimples helps it go down I done it lots of of times and it seems to work real well or you can try baking soda by itself on your pimples I heard that works just as good.

wait for it to come to the surface then if you must squeeze it but make sure you squeeze till it bleeds so that all the pus has gone

try some toothpaste if it still doesn't work go to the pharmacy and ask what is good for that kind of pimple!!!

Just a squeeze it when it comes to the surface.

try squeezing it in till you push it to surface

What causes my pimple to leave marks on my face after it heals?

Because all my pimples that i ever had in my life never leave any marks behind, but got once i had a few pimple on my chicks and after it heals, there's marks there... Is it because of the things i ate? Coz i heard people said cannot eat dark soya sauce or some other black ketchup as it might leave marks..

dont pop it

It has nothing to do with what you eat. Sometimes if you mess with the blemishes on your skin, they can leave scars, but if you're talking about red marks, it might be because the actual pore hasn't healed, the skin just healed over. That's happened to me as well, but it'll go away in a bit. Just make sure that if you are going to pop a pimple, you wait until it has a white head on it, and use two clean Q-tips, NOT YOUR FINGERS!!! Our hands have oils on them that can make skin blemishes worse, so it's best to use the Q-tips to maintain sanitation. And only squeeze until you see blood and then stop. This should reduce the appearance of scars that pimples can leave. Good luck!!

Tampering...queezing..picking.....there are other causes..but these are some of the main reasons.

How to get rid of a pimple at the bottom of my ear lobe?

I have a medium-sized pimple on the bottom of my left ear lobe and it's irritating me. It hurts too.

Rubbing alcohol will take away the oil and dirt which caused the pimple. You could try popping it to get the pus out. Pimples pop anyway, so might as well get the infection out. Then get an alcohol wipe and clean the area.

if its systic acne, which are the kind that hurt and cant really be popped, go to your dermatologist or doctor and they can give u a quick shot that eliminates it almost immediately.

Try these: http://www.beauty-tricks.com/beautyforum/viewtopic.php?t=8

Origins Spot remover works wonders!!

What are some home remedies for pimple scabs/scars?

Those brownish scabs you get after a pimple goes away, what are some home remedies to get rid of them?

the best way is cocoa butter it only cost a dollar at any store and the scab or pimple will be gone in a day

alcohol and moisturizing elixers

This is an excellent and wonderful remedy to get rid of acne scars. Make a sandalwood paste with rose water and apply on the scars. Keep it overnight and wash it with cold water the next day. If you find that your skin becomes dry in the morning, you leave it only for a few hours on your face or you may try adding some milk while making paste.

course if you are allergy prone test small areas of skin first.

scrub lightly moistened oatmeal over your face, let it stand for 5-10 minutes then rinse. Do it in the morning & before bed

Dab some antibiotic ointment on it over night but wash it off in the am. That will soften the scab but it can also clog pores if left on for too long. Only get it on the scab, not on the skin around it.

Have not a clue, but i will be checkin back to find out.. =) Sorry

i dont know 4 guys but i use Neutrogena

Just go to the drugstore and get something that will prevent the scabs from turning into permanent scars!

I use Neutrogena Advanced Solutions acne mark fading peel ... slather some on, let it dry, put on a t-shirt, & go to bed.

it seems to work ..

How do I get rid of pimple marks and scars left behind?

It would be great if you could tell me a way to get rid of pimple marks and scars.. Maybe someone can tell me something that works and they know it works from experience?

I need all the help I can get.

Thanks!

im not sure if ur into home remedies, but thats what worked best for me. what i mean by "best" is that all mine were gone in less than two weeks. it was cheap too. i used egg yolk [it contains vitamin A which is good for scars!] and moisturizes cuhz scars need to be well-moisturized. anyways

crack open an egg and smooth the egg yolk over face

wait till it dries then wash off

re-apply

do this 3 times a day for two weeks and they should all be gone by then i promise or depending on the age of the scar, it could take a little longer but i seriously thnk 2 weeks would make a big diff in your scars.

hi, in the pharmacie section of you local store, get a scar cream. They work great. it wont completly remove the scar but most of it will go away. Hope I could help!

you have to go about this carefully. there are many things out there that people will say works, but depending on your skin, it could make things worse. I listened to this radio program once, they didn't have any miracles, but they let me know what types of myths to avoid. As it turns out, they were making my skin worse than I thought. Hope you find the solution.

retino-a is a good prescription skin cream. it exfoliates the skin and renews the cells. it helps to clear up pimples and remove scars. best of luck to you! :)

vitamin e works for superficial scars, if they are caught right away. various skin creams with acids..ie. AHA, basically any kind of exfoliants. You can also get several microdermabrasions or a chemical peel, if they are pretty deep. If they create little pits, you'll probably have to get injectable facial fillers. What a pain in the a$$. I had acne when I was around 15, I'm 24 now and still have small reddish scars on my lower cheeks, they are no big deal, and foundation covers them.

bio-oil - its absolutely amazing!

you can get it from boots

it really does work, just dont use too much at once

xxx

Use cucumber or other fruit and vegetable packs to cure pimple scars. More such solutions at http://solutionsforpimples.blogspot.com/

Remedies For Reducing Acne Scars

* Apply aloe vera (gel or juice) to heal (and prevent) acne scars. Be careful when you choose your brand because most claim pure organic material. One good brand is Fruit of the Earth. If there's hyperpigmentation, aloe vera can take time to fade them.

* Rosehip seed oil is another option that can work for you. It can regenerate new skin and fade the skin discoloration caused by acne scarring. Take time to massage onto scars twice daily.

* Lavender oil is also used to promote new cell regeneration to improve acne scars. Gently massage onto affected area.

* Topical skin lightening creams give the fastest results, and can inhibit and get rid of the melanin content that causes the hyperpigmentation.

don't pick at it, and moisturize!

a brand called Scar Repairex.....its amazing, a bit pricey for a tub but well worth it.... amazing results without irritation or anything:) specifically made for pimple/acne scars

How can I tell the difference between a sore pimple or a cold sore on my lip?

I sometimes get a pimple on the edge of my lips, but I have one that's pretty sore, so I need to know how to tell the difference between a pimple and a cold sore. I've never had one before, but my dad gets them and I've heard they're hereditary. If it is a cold sore, are there any good remedies that don't cost a lot?

HOw weird is this, it happend a few days ago to me. Except my mum always gets them.

I got some zoviracs or you can use any other cold sore ointment/cream.

I still dont know if u had a pimple or a cold sore.

I do know now is that cold sore cream basicly got rid of all of my pimples on my face though.

Once The thing on my lip went i used it on my face and in days there was a big difference,

so if u have pimles as well use zoviracs (im not sure of the spelling there)

Good luck ( the most stubborn cold sores dont last longer than a week, mine only lasted like 3 days)

What could a small painless pimple-like bump on the very tip of the nose that has been there for years?

Its been their since I've entered puberty. Its not a pimple which everyone believes, and popping it does nothing other than turn it into a cut then it reappears after a while.

Im planning on seeing a dermitologist in a while, but I know others have had them, wondering if somone could save me time with a diagnosis if they've ever had it.

Sometimes, these are little abnormal skin growths that everyone gets. Unfortunately, yours is in an obvious place. You can go to the dermatologist and get this removed and at that time, they will check the cells for cancer. But, since you have had this for some time and if it hasn't changed in size or appearance, your chances of it being cancer are low but they will check it anyway. These are called nevi's.

it could be a wart

could be an ingrown hair?

What is the best way to treat a pimple AFTER it has been popped?

I know you shouldn't pop pimples, but sometimes I do. Sometimes my pimples just pop themselves. I don't know what to do after a pimple has popped though. Putting on acne medication doesn't work for me. The pimple just becomes scab like, dry, and irritated. Any advice for pimples that have ALREADY been popped?

they will all get a scab on them when they get that yuk out

nothing you can do

might try washing your face i real ivory soap could help you from getting them

dont get the kind with moisturizer in it
